BookBSL uses aggregate counters to understand basic use of the service. You can turn those statistical counts off for this browser.
What does BookBSL use?
BookBSL does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising. It uses browser storage for limited site functionality and aggregate usage statistics.

What is counted?
The live BookBSL counters may record aggregate totals for a page visit, starting the checklist, reaching a result and opening a quote email. They are designed as service-level statistics, not as individual visitor profiles.
The counter service used by BookBSL is currently CountAPI. BookBSL sends the counter name/action needed to update or read an aggregate total; it does not send your checklist answers to that counter.
Why can BookBSL use aggregate statistics?
Current UK rules include a statistical-purposes exception for certain storage and access technologies used solely to collect aggregate information about how a service or website is used with a view to improving it. The exception requires clear information and a simple, free means to object.
BookBSL intends its live usage counters to be limited to this statistical purpose. If the tracking setup changes or is used for another purpose, this notice will be reviewed and any consent required by law will be requested.
Third-party and browser controls
Your browser can also let you clear or block cookies and site storage. Blocking all site storage may affect some website features. External websites linked from BookBSL have their own cookie and privacy practices.
